Repairs to an R1 nose-cone.

Although a low-budget part it was deemed worthy of repair. A whole section was missing. It was replaced by meshing the area and then building up a new fibre and filler skin. After hours and days of sanding and shaping it was then ready for painting.Although successful, sometimes the sum of the parts are greater than the end product. This is about the very edge of a cost-effective repair and would probably have been better replaced with a new part although this was to help out an amateur racer running a team on a low budget.
